Students at Central Elementary recently competed in the Annual 3rd Grade Spelling Bee. Eleven semi-finalists advanced to the final round, where Colt W. was crowned the 3rd Grade Spelling Bee Champion!

Mrs. Blackstone’s class at Central Elementary takes a monthly walk to the Lexington Public Library! Students loved picking out new books and listening to a story read aloud during their visit. It’s a wonderful way to build a love of reading and connect with our community!

Mrs. Lohr’s second-grade class at Central Elementary celebrated 101 Days of School in true Dalmatian style! Students read fun facts about Dalmatians, played a 101 math dice game, wrote their own 101 Days of School books, and enjoyed a delicious 101-themed snack.

Mrs. Perry's class has been learning about habitats and how animals survive in those habitats. Her second grade class created habitats for their animals and included the things they needed to survive in those habitats.

Mrs. Lohr’s students at Central worked hard to earn Dojo points, and their reward was bringing their favorite “stuffy” to school! These cuddly friends were right by their side, cheering them on throughout the day. Keep up the amazing work!
