Freshman & New Student Orientation

Thank you to all of our freshmen and new students and their families who joined us last night for our Freshman & New Student Orientation!
We covered a lot of information about life at Lexington High School, including schedules, arrival and dismissal procedures, expectations, athletics, student services, graduation requirements, grades, course selection, activities and more.

JUNIORS (and Seniors) — EARLY DISMISSAL OPTION

We are excited to announce that all eligible juniors may now request Early Dismissal at the end of 6th period!
Early Dismissal Request forms will be available when students pick up their schedules today (Friday), Monday, and/or Tuesday.

Please remember:
- The form must be completed and submitted.
- A parent/guardian must call the high school and speak directly with one of our secretaries before Early Dismissal can begin.
- Students must meet all requirements outlined on the form.
- Early Dismissal is a privilege and can be revoked if the requirements are no longer met.

Students approved for Early Dismissal will leave immediately after 6th period and are responsible for providing their own transportation.

Attention Students and Families: On December 4th, there was an informational meeting about the College Credit Plus Program. Click here for important dates, deadlines and notes from that evening.

Attention Seniors: Be sure to complete your Early Dismissal Request form if you would like to leave school at the end of 6th period each day. Turn in this form prior to the start of the school year so that an administrator or the attendance secretary can call to confirm permission with your parent. You can't leave early until we do that, so fill it out and drop it off prior to the start of the year if you would like to be dismissed early on the first day!
