Lexington School Community,
Everyone here at Lexington is so pleased to welcome our students back this fall. Whether they are in the buildings, or on-line, our students are doing a great job despite all of the challenges.
I wanted to provide you a brief update on how things are progressing with our building project. If you haven’t been to the high school, or driven down St. Rte. 546 recently, I encourage you to do so. Shook Construction is on site, as is Beaver Excavating, and the dirt is being moved! Demolition is complete for this first phase with the removal of the old farmhouse and barn, as well as the softball and baseball fields. This includes the demolition of the dugouts and concession stand. Shook Construction now has all permits it needs to move forward with this first phase, which is the preparation of our build site, and the creation of the new baseball, softball, and soccer practice fields. This will include dugouts and a press box/concession stand, as well as parking.
The retention pond below the new athletics fields is being created, and the change in the landscape is quite remarkable. Beaver Excavating and Carter Electric will soon be teaming up to run water and power from the front of our current site, at Clever Lane, back to the build site. The Board of Education has been presented some early renderings of the outside of the building, and TDA is continuously revising in hopes of getting an initial example of both the outside of the building, and a sample of building materials to share with the public for feedback.

Attached are some pictures, including a before and after, that help illustrate how much progress is being made. Thank you for your support of the future of Lexington Local Schools! This is an exciting time for our community.
