**MANDATORY WINTER SPORTS PRE-SEASON PARENT & ATHLETE MEETING**
November 10th, @ 7pm HS Auditorium
Picture Day is November 10th!
Open gym dates:Oct.13th, 17th, 21st, and 24th from 2:30-4, 26th from 5-6:30 @ Junior High Gym. Tryouts will be held Friday, Oct. 28th. 8th grade will be from 2:30-4 and the 7th grade from 4:30-6:30. Tryouts will also be held Sat, Oct. 29th. 8th grade will be from 8-10 am and the 7th grade will not have tryouts this day. Both teams will resume tryouts on Monday, Oct. 31st.
OHSAA Bylaw 3-1-4 stipulates that mandatory, preseason parent meetings with all student-athletes who wish to participate in the upcoming sports seasons, their parents and booster club officer(s). The meeting shall consist of (a) a review of the student-eligibility bulletin and key essential eligibility requirements; (b) a review of the school’s Athletic Code of Conduct; (c) a sportsmanship, ethics and integrity component, and (d) a review of issues concerning concussions and steroids.
Athletes MUST have ALL paperwork and forms signed and on file with the LJHS Athletic Dept. BEFORE participation of any kind. Updated packets of forms can be picked up at the Lexington High School Athletic Office and include the following:
1) OHSAA Preparticipation PHYSICAL EVALUATION
2) OHSAA AUTHORIZATION FORM
3) Lexington JH/HS Co-Curricular ELIGIBILITY POLICY
4) Lexington INSURANCE WAIVER / Survey Form
5) Lexington STUDENT-ATHLETE PLEDGE
6) Lexington CODE OF CONDUCT / Sportsmanship Agreement
7) EMERGENCY MEDICAL FORM
Home games are played at LJHS.
