Students in Mrs. Winner’s kindergarten class at Western Elementary continued their study of harvest by learning all about Ohio farming and agriculture! Students read about combines, explored the different grains they can process, watched a farmer explain how a combine works, labeled the parts of a combine, and even “harvested” numbers and quantities from corn using a model combine and tractor. The activities came from resources Mrs. Winner received during a summer training focused on bringing local agriculture and farming into the classroom. A big THANK YOU to imAgine Ag, a partnership between Ohio Farm Bureau and Agriculture in the Classroom, for providing the training and resources!
