The Lexington Board of Education met in regular session in the Robert H. Whitney Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Mr. Keith Stoner, President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.

Student Representative Report
Student Representative Emma Bacquet provided the Board with her final update regarding various activities throughout the District, including athletics, clubs, other student activities, and important upcoming dates. Emma thanked the Board, Administration, and Lexington student body for allowing her the opportunity to serve as the Student Representative during the 25-26 school year.
The Board and Administration thanked Emma for her amazing work throughout the school year and for representing the students in such a positive way. Mr. Stoner presented Emma with her nameplate as a reminder of her time as Student Representative and asked what her next steps are. Emma shared that she will be attending the University of Pittsburgh studying Biology and pre-medicine. Mr. Secrist thanked Emma for all that she has given in her service to Lexington schools, noting that she has given just as much as she has received from Lexington through her service and activities in the time that she has been here.

Discussion:
1) Tax Policy Special Work Session: The Board discussed that a special work session meeting will be held on June 10th at 6:00 pm with David Conley from Rockmill Financial in attendance to discuss the results of the May levy, key takeaways, and next steps.
2) Summer of Sustainability: Mr. Secrist shared that we will once again partner with CNG to host the Summer of Sustainability on June 20th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Clever Lane student parking lot.
