Academics 7-12:

·         In regards to grades and testing, these are areas that are being discussed and will be determined as we learn more information. Any updates will be shared by administration as soon as possible.

·         In the weeks ahead, you may hear from us as we will continue to work on 504 plans and scheduling for the 2020-2021 school year.

·         Students planning to take courses through CCP next school year: As of right now, this process has not changed. Please pay close attention to the deadlines/requirements listed below.

·        Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100Mbps. To enroll, call 1-844-488-8395. Instillation fees will be waived for new student households.

ACT Update (3/16/20)

 

ACT has decided to reschedule the April 4, 2020 National ACT® test date to our June 13 and July 18 test dates in response to concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

ACT will be notifying registered students directly in the next few days, informing them of the postponement and providing instructions for next steps.

We will be in contact with you in the days ahead as we work to plan for June and July, where we will need to build capacity to accommodate April examinees.

Our primary concern right now is the safety of students and testing staff. We hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe during this challenging time.

 

CCP Application Process (Fall 2020):

 

In order for your student to be eligible to take classes through CCP, you will need to complete the following steps by the dates provided.

 

ÿ       Attend a CCP informational meeting or review the PowerPoint, http://www.lexington.k12.oh.us/images/hs/2020LexCCP.pdf, covered on the January 28th CCP meeting.

 

ÿ       Complete the Intent to Participate form and return to Student Services by APRIL 1.

 

ÿ       Register to take the ACT/SAT and have test scores sent to colleges where you are seeking admission into their CCP program (register to test early, so you don’t miss your college deadline).

o   College ready test scores: Reading-22, English- 18, Math- 22

o   Colleges may also accept the ACCUPLACER

o   Each college/university may have different exam requirements

o   If you have already taken the ACT, colleges will accept your test scores from your transcript.

 

ÿ       Complete the online application for CCP at the college you would like to attend (students taking classes at Lexington High School for college credit will need to apply to BGSU).

 

ÿ       Submit any High School Information forms that may be required by your college to your counselor for them to complete.

 

ÿ       Request your transcript to be submitted BEFORE the deadline (at least a week).

A student and family’s privacy is very important.  All information shared with a counselor will remain confidential unless a student shares a plan to harm him or herself or someone else or there is suspicion a student may be a victim of abuse or neglect. In these situations, we are required by law to report this information to parents and/or to appropriate agencies.

Counselors may share information with school personnel with parent or student permission.
