The Lexington Board of Education met in regular session in the boardroom at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, December 13, 2010. Mr. Robert Whitney, President, called the meeting to
order. Roll was called by the Treasurer.
Roll Call – Members present: Mr. Loren Blackstone, Mr. Jeff Heck, Mr. Keith Stoner,

VISITORS / COMMUNICATIONS / RECOGNITIONS
The Board recognized the Lady Lex Tennis Team for winning the State
Championship. Members of the team include:
Courtney Ahmed Courtney Earnest
Erika Witchey Alisha Angle
Nicole Dragos Cassie Dickerson
Elise Betscher Emilee Wong
Mr. Harris presented each team member with a medallion to recognize their
exceptional achievement. Coaches Ron Schaub and Rob Michaels were also
commended for their hard work and successful coaching experiences.
State Representative Margaret Ann Ruhl presented proclamations to Central
Elementary, Western Elementary, Eastern Elementary and the High School for
earning an Excellent rating for the 2009-2010 school year. Mrs. Dinkel, Mrs.
Ruihley, Mr. Daup and Mr. Goode were on hand to accept copies of the
proclamation on behalf of their students and staffs.
Abby Kuhn – student advisor presented her report.
FINANCIAL ITEMS
61-10 Motion by Mr. Blackstone, seconded by Mrs. Wilson to approve the following financial
items:
1. The minutes from the November regular meeting.
2. The monthly financial report for November 2010 was presented.

2011 Board Meetings: Set date and time for the Organizational Regular January 2011
Board of Education meetings as January 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
Recommend the Board of Education increase the following substitutes hourly rate due
to the January 1, 2011 increase in the State of Ohio Minimum Wage:
Substitute Cafeteria Worker $7.40 hour
Substitute Office Aide – Transportation $7.40 hour

or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual unless the
public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing and
negotiations.
