2021 Senior Jacob N. completely refurbished the high school “victory bell” in the football stadium this spring as a service project for Eagle Scouts. Every scout, in order to get the rank of an Eagle Scout, must complete a service project that benefits the community. According to Jacob, “When I got to the time to think about the project…a lot of my fellow scouts did something at Gorman or other places…I wanted to do something out of the box and give back to the school. You guys have done so much for me, it was something I could do to repay the school.”

Jacob spent over 40 hours planning and working on the bell. He made a new base the bell sits on, and powder coated the bracket and bell. The powder coating should last for many years as it is extremely durable. Jacob concluded, “I am really proud and excited about it…the football team will be excited to ring that bell next season!” Excellent job Jacob…we are proud of you!
