Special Meeting

March 4, 2014

7:00 A.M.

The Lexington Board of Education met in Special session in the boardroom at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2014. Mr. Robert Whitney, President, called the meeting to order. Roll was called by the Treasure.

Roll Call – Members present: Mr. Loren Blackstone, Mr. Jeff Heck, Mr. Keith Stoner, Mrs. Sue Weirich, Mr. Robert Whitney -----------5 

VISITORS / COMMUNICATIONS / RECOGNITIONS

Mr. Stoner stated that the district has no open teaching positions.

VARSITY FOOTBALL COACH

18-14   Motion by Mr. Heck, seconded by Mr. Blackstone to recommend the employment of Taylor Gerhardt as Varsity football coach for the 2014 season.    

 Roll Call – Yea: Mr. Heck, Mr. Blackstone, Mr. Stoner, Mr. Whitney----------------------------4 

                         Nay: Mrs. Weirich--------------------------------------------------------------------------1

           Motion adopted. 

           The Board stated a need to support Mr. Gerhardt as he is undertaking a big job in addition to being Junior High Principal.
